Who ARE Dramatic Licence ?
Dramatic Licence are an English drama group formed in 2005 with a view to offering people living in Torrevieja, Rojales and surrounding areas, and who have a keen interest, the chance to participate in good quality English drama.
The first production, a hilarious comedy called 'Don't Dress for Dinner' by Marc Camoletti, was staged at the Teatro Capitol in Rojales and at the Salon Cutural in Daya Nueva in April/May 2005. The performances were all enthusiastically enjoyed by sizable audiences, and received critical acclaim in the press reviews. In January 2008 the Group presented its fifth production 'Seasons Greetings' by Alan Ayckbourn, at the Teatro Capitol, Rojales and theTeatro Municipal, Torrevieja to audiences exceeding 960.
"We are very fortunate with rehearsal facilities and theatres. Five of our most recent productions have been staged at the 370 seat Teatro Cardenal Belluga - San Fulgencio, whilst others have been staged at the Teatro Capitol - Rojales, Teatro Municipal -Torrevieja, Centro Cultural - Daya Nueva and Cento Cultural - Benijofar.
Rehearsals are held at rented warehouse accomodation where we are able to rehearse with the stage set almost from the first rehearsal".
All this means we have the opportunity of achieving standards most amateur groups can only dream about.
